Tuition + COSI Accommodation Information: $CAD


All registration and costs are listed in Canadian ($CAD) funds, which are currently at a tremendously advantageous rate for Americans and Europeans!

  • Three-week programs for singers and pianists:  $4690 CAD

  • Two-week programs for singers and pianists:  $2890 CAD


Tuition: $CAD $2,890: July 1-14 (training, without performances) Payment Deadlines: $1000 upon your acceptance, then March 30th: $945, and May 1st: $945.

Tuition $CAD $4690 July 1-22 (training and performances) Payment

Deadlines: $1000 upon your acceptance, then March 30th: $1845, and May 1st: $1,845.


Music Elective Credit at the Undergraduate and Graduate Levels: Many universities provide music elective credits or partial credits for students in summer programs. If it is possible for your university to award such a credit or partial credit for your COSI participation, please contact us at

  • No additional registration or audition fee is required.

Upon Your Acceptance


  • Your $1000 tuition deposit is due at time of acceptance, and applied to your tuition payment.


The COSI curriculum:


  • Italian instruction

  • Singing lessons

  • Coaching sessions

  • Training in acting and stagecraft

  • Master class participation and attendance

  • Professional training forums, networking opportunities

  • COSI Progam performances: operas, oratorios, aria and scenes concerts, Gala Concert.



  • Round trip travel to and from Sulmona

  • Accommodation: Local accommodation information is available through

  • Incidental fees for meals, laundry, snacks, and excursions. There are several local grocers and many low cost restaurants with fresh and delicious fare. Costs will vary for each person, from $500 and up for your stay.

  • Health insurance while in Italy: Travel agents and universities have access to dedicated health coverage. Here’s one example:

  • Any visa processing fees for international students – Visas are not required for stays of up to 90 days for citizens of the United States of America, Canada, and many other countries. Citizens of many EU countries can visit Italy with a national identity card, while all others require a full passport. Please do consult the applicable embassies and consulates to determine your own requirements.

COSI tuition for singers includes the curriculum of lessons, coaching sessions, masterclasses, career forums, classes acting and stagecraft, Italian language classes, performances in COSI’s magnificent venues, and the networking opportunities it provides with its outstanding international faculty.

COSI tuition for those in the Collaborative Piano and Continuo program includes all designated,  piano coaching sessions, collaborative piano forums,  masterclasses, Italian language classes, performances in COSI’s magnificent venues, and the networking opportunities it provides with its outstanding international faculty.

COSI tuition does not include Accommodation can be arranged by COSI at an approximate cost of $350 CAD a week for shared, basic accommodation, with other options, such as single and kitchen accommodation available at additional cost. Accommodation costs are subject to change and exchange rates.

All participants are required to submit $500 deposit upon their acceptance of their COSI offer; this is applied to the overall tuition cost. Subsequent payments are outlined in the acceptance letters in Canadian dollars, and are payable by bank draft, money order or certified cheque.
